Thank you for your generosity during our 26th Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive!

Your Hometown Radio Stations – 93.1 Katy County, 97.5 K-LAKE and Mad Rock 102.5 – are delighted to bring you our 26th Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive – presented by Tyson Foods & Lankford Roofing – Monday, November 21st through Wednesday, November 23rd!

This year we celebrate an incredible 26 years of helping local families have enough food to eat through the Salvation Army of Grayson County‘s food pantry. Last year, in 2021, you donated enough money & food to fill more than 30 pallets of canned goods & non-perishable food items!

With your help, we can bring in even more donations in 2022, because they are DESPERATELY needed!

So, please get with your family, neighbors & co-workers now and start collecting your canned goods, other non-perishable items & cash donations for this year’s food drive. That way you can bring them all to us as we broadcast LIVE from Walmart in Sherman (Hwys 75 & 82) for the two & a half days before Thanksgiving.

Just like last year, you again have the option to make a monetary donation to the 26th Annual Bob Skaggs Memorial Food Drive ONLINEhttps://give.salvationarmytexas.org/campaign/bob-skaggs-memorial-food-drive-2022/c431782

(You can also either scan or click the QR Code above to make your online donation)

We’re also keeping the EXTENDED hours we’ve had the last few years to give you more time to bring your donations to us later in the evening. We’ll accept your donations:

  • 6am-8pm on Monday, November 21st
  • 6am-8pm on Tuesday, November 22nd
  • 6am-Noon on Wednesday, November 23rd

So, what kinds of non-perishable food & other items are needed? Here’s that info from our friends at the Salvation Army of Grayson County:

Every year The Salvation Army in Grayson County serves more than 45,000 pounds of food each month through meals to those experiencing homelessness and food pantry operations.

An estimated 32% of our neighbors in Grayson County don’t know where their next meal is coming from.  The amount of food provided to each household depends on the household size, the ages of household members, and their special nutritional needs.  When available, personal care and household supplies are also given out.

With the help of the community, we can ensure families receive enough food to help them survive day to day.
