Gingerbread Family
Client Info: This is a 6-year-old boy who loves life! He was born at 33 weeks due to a mass on his neck and had to have a tracheostomy placed before his umbilical cord could be cut. He then had a G-Button placed when he was 7 days old, had to receive chest tubes for bilateral pleural effusions, and then underwent organ failure. He is a very active little boy, but is non-verbal due to his missing left vocal chord. He was also recently diagnoses with ADHD and autism. His family is very loving and would do anything for the nurses in their home that care for their son. With 4 sons, they are always kept on their toes! This family is very humble and we would love to see them spoiled this holiday season with more than they asked for!
Client’s diagnoses/description of care: G-Button (a feeding port that allows food to go straight into his tummy), a trach (a port in his neck that creates a direct opening to his airway and allows him to breathe), ADHD, Autism, and a seizure disorder.
