Zach Bigley returns for his fifth season as the radio “Voice of MISD”, providing play-by-play for football and basketball games on 97.5 K-LAKE for McKinney, McKinney Boyd and McKinney North high schools. Bigley also serves as the Broadcaster and Manager of Media Development full-time with the Frisco RoughRiders Baseball Club (Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers). Before moving to the Metroplex, Bigley was with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans (High-A, Cubs) for two seasons, serving as the broadcast assistant his first year before taking over in the lead role in 2019. To open his minor league career, the Eugene, Oregon native served as the broadcast assistant for the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (High-A, Dodgers). A proud Duck, Bigley graduated from the University of Oregon in 2017, where he majored in journalism and minored in history. While there, he was a sports director for the campus radio station, KWVA, providing play-by-play for Oregon football, basketball, volleyball, softball and acrobatics and tumbling along with local high school sports.
Will is a 1975 Graduate of Gonzalez High School and a 1979 Graduate of Southwest Texas State University. Will obtained his Masters in 1997 in Education. Will was in Public Education for 29 years before retiring. Will began coaching in MISD in 1983, became an Asst. Principal then moved into the role of Asst. Athletic Director. Will and his wife Jan have been married for 42 years and are the proud parents of Jacob, a former 3 year Varsity Basketball player at McKinney High School who is the Varsity Head Boys Basketball Coach at Sherman High. When not at MISD Athletic events, Will can be found at his hunting lease in Southwest Texas or on the coast fishing.
Kevin McPherson is entering his 15th season as statistician for McKinney ISD football broadcasts on K-LAKE. Along with his duties as an English teacher in the district, he is the sports information director for MISD Athletics. In addition, McPherson has worked the past 15 years as a statistician for ESPN college football and basketball, the past eleven years as a spotter for SMU football, and the past eight years as official scorer and scoreboard operator for the Class AA Frisco RoughRiders of the Texas League.
