The Merriam-Webster dictionary added 640 new words on Monday. Some of the more noticeable “slang” words that were added? Swole and buzzy.
If you go to the gym, you typically go to get “swole,” or work on growing your muscles. Buzzy is an adjective that literally means “to create a buzz.” Think, buzz worthy.
Now, where does the dictionary get their words from? “Popular culture —movies, TV and sports — is a common source of new words” a source told ABC News.
You can see a list of some of the new words HERE.
