City of McKinney extends state of disaster ordinance through April 30 Ordinance matches Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order for the state of Texas McKINNEY, Texas (April 3, 2020) – The City of McKinney extended the local state of disaster declaration related to the Coronavirus outbreak (COVID-19) until April 30 and adopted several updates to be consistent with Governor Greg Abbott’s executive order for the state of Texas. The shelter in place order remains in place. The city has made several changes to its facilities’ operations and programming.
