October is National Bullying Prevention Month
At 97.5 K-LAKE, we’re joining the fight against bullying by airing special anti-bullying tips throughout October for National Bullying Prevention Month. These 60-second tips, sponsored by the Circle Ten Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Love Life Foundation, are voiced by representatives from the Denison Independent School District and McKinney Independent School District. The messages aim to empower our community to stand up against bullying and create safer spaces for children.
Bullying affects millions of children every year, leading to emotional distress and long-lasting harm. National Bullying Prevention Month is a nationwide effort to raise awareness and encourage communities to promote kindness, respect, and inclusion. By educating ourselves and taking action, we can help reduce bullying in our schools and neighborhoods.
Our on-air tips provide practical guidance on recognizing the signs of bullying, how to respond effectively, and how to create positive, supportive environments at school and home. These tips are valuable for parents, teachers, and anyone who wants to help children thrive in a safe environment.
